Declan and Laila certainly have a unique story and I loved it. The fear and suspense portrayed leapt off the pages. I did get my wish for Behaid’s fate! I would love to see this turn into a series and read stories for the rest of the team.

Declan’s team of Navy Seals are sent on a secret mission to capture, preferably alive, a man who is in charge of a slave brothel in the Middle East. He uses underage girls as sex slaves in his brothels. The Seals have been given his location, but when they arrive to their destination, there’s a woman there. The woman, who’s dressed as a Muslim, appears to “out” the Seals and their location as she makes her escape. The Seals have no option, but to retreat–something they NEVER do.
The Seals have Intel that their “target” is headed to his brothel, so they regroup and head there. Along the way, they meet up again with the Muslim woman. She’s walking, unescorted, in the desert and is about to be attacked. The Seals, even though they are not supposed to be in the Middle East, come to the Muslim woman’s aid….
Declan finds out the Muslim woman is only dressed as a Muslim, but she won’t tell them the real reason she’s in the Middle East. Along their journey to the brothel, Declan discovers a little bit of why Laila is in the Middle East, but not everything. He also finds himself fighting his growing attraction to Laila.
If you like romantic suspense novels, this one is for you!!! It had so many twists and turns. I actually thought the bad guy might get away!!! I love the “family” that Laila and Declan become. It was a page-turner that kept me on the edge of my seat! Highly recommended!

This book was in “Field Stripped”, a Military Romance compilation. This book made the anthology worth buying.
The story starts out with an Alpha group of soldiers and a very unlikable heroine who lies about everything and is seriously delusional. I dislike stories where the original attraction is based on a lie. BUT in this case, getting to know the heroine helped a lot. The story rang true. The situations were intense and realistic. The pace is fast. The author tells her story well. I just hope she has written other stories in this genre.

When I started reading this book I wasn’t sure what to expect because I dont usually read military romance books often, but this book kept me in suspense the whole time and wanting to find out what would happen next to leila since she seemed to be a real trouble magnet, and also declan, would he let himself love her! And I truly can’t wait to read more from this author!

Ms. Carson has offered us a very fast paced, well written, sexy, humorous, and enjoyable novel. The storyline is superbly plotted and the characters are really well drawn – multi dinensional, in fact.
